Dr Ryan Edwards is an applied economist and the Deputy Director at the Development Policy Centre. He is also a Fellow in the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at the Crawford School.

Ryan returned to ANU in June 2019 from academic appointments in the Department of Economics at Dartmouth College, where he taught courses in statistics and development economics, and at Stanford University, where he completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Centre on Food Security and the Environment and the Department of Earth System Science.

Ryan worked in the Australian Government—mostly on federal budgetsschool funding reforms, social investment, and impact evaluation policy—international developmentfinance, and various other odd jobs before that. Ryan also convenes the Economics PhD Seminars at the Crawford School, and you can learn more from his personal website.
