Announcing the winner of the ANU Indonesia Institute’s inaugural Interdisciplinary Event Grant

Professor Phil Cummins

Congratulations to Professor Phil Cummins from the Research School of Earth Sciences for being awarded the ANU Indonesia Institute’s inaugural Interdisciplinary Event Grant. Prof. Cummin’s proposed roundtable, 'Understanding the Cost of Natural Disasters in Indonesia', will bring together experts from the Australian National University's College of Science, College of Asia and the Pacific, and the Bandung Institute of Technology. The roundtable will examine innovations in measuring and forecasting the impact  – physical, social and economic – of natural hazards in Indonesia. The goal of the Institute’s interdisciplinary grant is to build networks across ANU among our Indonesia scholars, to promote new partnerships with Indonesia-based academics, and to showcase the depth and breadth of the Australian National University's expertise on Indonesia.
